Highlights: Burj Khalifa At the Top, Dubai Fountain, The Dubai Mall, Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, Palm Monorail, Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis Hotel, The Lost Chambers Aquarium, Aquaventure, Historical Neighborhood, Dubai Museum, Dubai Creek, Abra ride, Gold Souk, Spice Souk, Textile Souk, Dhow cruise, Miracle Gardens, Jumeirah Beach

Start off with some shopping at The Dubai Mall and a visit to the Burj Khalifa. You cannot miss the 10 million-litre tank at the Dubai Aquarium, which is one of the largest in the world, containing more than 33,000 aquatic animals and the largest collection of sand tiger sharks anywhere. The 48-metre long Aquarium tunnel takes you 11 metres under the surface and recreates this fascinating environment in near-perfect detail. Located on Level Two above the Aquarium tank, Underwater Zoo leads you through three ecological Zones – Rainforest, Rocky Shore and Living Ocean.

The fancy Waterfall is another beautiful piece of design inside The Dubai Mall.

Go to At the Top Burj Khalifa for a bird’s eye view of Dubai. The tour begins with an interior elevator ride that has an amazing projection of other building heights compared to the Burj. You can see the history of construction process, photographs of the team which has taken part in it as well as the big models of the building itself. You can enjoy the dynamic architecture of this global city and then take in the Dubai Fountain Show from a prime viewing position to witness the largest performing fountains in the world. Featuring the world’s largest choreographed fountain system, this popular son-et-lumière show jets up to 22,000 gallons of water as high as 150 metres in the air at any one time.

Have your meals at one of the many outlets in the mall, like California Pizza Kitchen, TGI Fridays, Chillis, Carluccio’s, Cheesecake Factory and more.

  2. Day 2 Desert Safari

Keep a relaxed first half of the day. Shop at a nearby mall – it will take you around an hour or two to explore the large malls of Dubai.

Plan for a desert safari experience in the second half. The tour starts with an adventurous dune bashing ride in a SUV, where you’ll go up and down steep sand dunes and feel like being in a roller coaster.
Enjoy traditional dance performances at the desert camp under the stars, followed by a lavish dinner buffet. Do try the local grilled delicacies, barbequed fresh at the camp.

  3. Day 3 Diving in the Atlantis

After breakfast, hop aboard the Palm Monorail that runs to the Atlantis hotel on the Palm Jumeirah island. The Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island in the shape of a palm tree. The fronds of which contain luxury hotels and apartments, this is one of the most exclusive areas of the city. Take a tour of the Atlantis hotel from inside and outside, and head to The Lost Chambers Aquarium – Atlantis-themed aquarium housing marine life. Discover the mysteries that await in the lost city of Atlantis and meet the incredible marine animals that now call the Atlantean ruins home.

Take the plunge and scuba dive amongst the ruins of Atlantis and experience the majesty and splendour of the Ambassador Lagoon.

Later in the day, go to the Aquaventure Waterpark in the Atlantis hotel. Aquaventure is all about adventure in the water for all ages. Slides, lagoons, roller coasters, pools – the fun seems to never end at this exciting water park. Aquaventure also has a private beach when you can lounge by and take in the sunshine, make sand castles and play in the waters.

  4. Day 4 Tour the Old City

After breakfast, head to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood in Bur Dubai for a very educative and informative tour of the place specially for learning about the Arab culture and their beautiful architecture. In this nice place, mostly quiet and not crowded, its buildings coloured so to resemble desert sand, you’ll find shops filled with souvenirs, cafes, museums, craft shops and much more.
Later, walk for a few minutes to the Dubai Museum – a 18th-century fort housing a museum with multimedia exhibits on local history & cultural heritage. Don’t be deceived by the first courtyard into which you enter after buying your ticket – there is much more to see after walking down the slope and indoors including the story of how Dubai came about and the modem history as well as the local culture.

Take a ride on the Dubai Abra, the city’s most traditional mode of transport, to cross the Dubai Creek from Bur Dubai to Deira. Spend the afternoon shopping for gold, carpets and spices in the souks. See the Arabic streets, covered with wooden panels having a distinct old world charm and gold hung in abundance from the shop display windows.

End your day with a ride on the authentic dhow vessel, a ship that epitomizes the intersection of modern and traditional that so characterizes Dubai. A dinner cruise is a great way to enjoy the variety and flavor of global cuisine, as well as a fun sightseeing opportunity. You’ll get to see highlights of the downtown area, as Dubai Creek divides the city’s urban heart into two.

  5. Day 5 Gardens and Beach

Visit the Miracle Gardens – a beautifully landscaped, remarkable flower themed park. Walk through Europe and Middle-Eastern theme streets, have a snack by the little pond, and admire the replicas of famous landmarks covered with flowers.
